FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW MUCH DO WILD OPHELIA CHOCOLATE BARS AND CUPS COST?

All of our products range between $2.99 and $4.99 depending on the retailer.

IS WILD OPHELIA THE SAME CHOCOLATE AS VOSGES HAUT-CHOCOLAT?

Wild Ophelia is the sister brand of Vosges Haut-Chocolat®. Like sisters, we can’t help but have similarities but we also have our own unique flair. Both brands are created by Katrina Markoff, and use all-natural ingredients and high quality chocolate.

CAN I BUY WILD OPHELIA AT VOSGES HAUT-CHOCOLAT STORES?

We love our sister brand, but like many little sisters we are carving out our own space; therefore, you can't find our bars at Vosges Haut-Chocolat stores.

WHAT ALLERGENS ARE CONTAINED IN YOUR PRODUCTS?

All of our chocolate bars contain soy. Our milk chocolate bars contain dairy, and some of our other bars may contain peanuts, tree nuts, or other allergens. Please see the “Contains” section on the back of each for a complete listing of the allergens in that item. All of our products are made in our facility which handles tree nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, milk, wheat and soy.

IS WILD OPHELIA GMO FREE?

We source non-GMO ingredients where possible, but Wild Ophelia is not completely GMO free currently.

WHAT IS "BLOOMING" ON A CHOCOLATE BAR AND IS IT SAFE TO EAT?

Chocolate bloom is the whitish film that can discolor the surface of chocolate. It is quite common and is actually the cocoa butter or fat within the chocolate rising to the surface.

Fat bloom is usually caused when the chocolate is exposed to a change in temperature. The cocoa butter separates from the chocolate and rises to the surface creating the "dusty" appearance, and it does not affect the scrumptious flavor.

Blooming is a cosmetic issue and not a safety issue. Bloomed chocolate is safe to eat.

Wild Ophelia bars are made from all natural ingredients with no preservatives. If your Wild Ophelia chocolate bar experience leaves you wanting or is less than desirable, please contact our team at anytime.

IS ANY OF YOUR CHOCOLATE GLUTEN FREE?

Yep, all Wild Ophelia chocolate bars are gluten free.

HOW LONG ARE WILD OPHELIA CHOCOLATE BARS GOOD FOR?

Wild Ophelia bars have a shelf life of 12 months, but each bar has a “best by” date stamped on the carton, though we doubt any of you will be able to resist them long enough for them to go south.

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY WILD OPHELIA BARS TO MAKE THEM LAST LONG?

Our bars will be happiest at room temperature (ideally 67-69 degrees Fahrenheit).

DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL RECIPES I CAN USE WITH WILD OPHELIA CHOCOLATE?

We have tons of them. We are constantly whipping up new ways to use our chocolate to add some surprise to every day snacks and desserts. Pay a visit to our Facebook page for more information.
